For the past six years, the West Chester East High School Dance Team has organized a one-day dance workshop open to girls and boys, Kindergarten - 8th Grade. This year is extra special because 10% of proceeds go to Team Lyme!

The day consists of choreography sessions with the Dancers of the East Dance Team, snack, hair/make-up preparation, performance for the parents at the end of the day, tshirt and more!

From Lyme Disease Patient to Pounding the Pavement

When I first started running, my main motivation was to keep my dog active, and to be honest, it was really nice not to have to worry about eating a piece of cake around the holidays too.  About 2 years ago, I was at a race and was bitten by a lyme tick while sitting on some railroad ties before the race. I didn't know it at the time, actually I thought I was bit by a spider or a mosquito, since I only had an itchy red bump, but by the end of the race I had the tell-tale bullseye rash (it was about 8 inches in diameter after the race).

The first annual Lyme Disease 5k run/walk in West Chester was a true success and so much fun! Thanks to the 29 Team Lymers that came out, Ali Schuster for putting it all together, the Lyme Disease Association of Southeastern PA and to everyone that attended and stomped lyme!
