2009 was a Great Year for Team Lyme!
Thank you for all who raced and all of the supporters that came out to the events and cheered us on. Our lime green shirts sure stood out among the other racers and it felt great to have fellow racers give us a high five or a simple "thanks as they ran by. I can't wait until the snow melts and the races start for the spring season. I hope to see old and new team lymers cross the finish line with me. Check out planned races for 2010 and make sure to tell me your races so I can add them to the list. Thanks again for your support and undying passion to kick lyme disease in the butt!! -Melissa |

Running 13.1 miles to fight Lyme Disease
11.22.09 The Philadelphia half marathon was one of the best runs I have ever participated in. It was a challenging run through Philly but the other participants were great. Its amazing the conversations you can strike up with other people while you are in the midst of running 13.1 miles! Thanks to everyone who shared their lyme disease stories and of course thanks to the 7 other Team Lyme runners! |

Cheers at the Stone Harbor Triathlon 7.20.08 Nine TEAM LYME members arrived at the Stone Harbor Yaugt Club early Saturday morning. The sprint triathlon started with a .25 mile swim in the bay. The water was freezing cold but once the gun went off it was time to move! After we ripped off our swimming caps, we geared up our bicycle and cliped on our helmet for the 11 mile bike. The last leg of the tri was a 3.1 mile run. Tons of TEAM LYME cheerleaders stood on the sidelines to scream and support us during the tri. It was a wonderful, challenging event. Great job everyone that came out for the 2008 Stone Harbor Tri! See you next year! |
